I’m so very proud of the fruits of my orchard. We make such small batch products to celebrate the ability to pick fruit ripe from our own orchard, for drying in the sun or making into other delicious, unique products. These products are hard to achieve but this artisanal setting, what we call our seasonal kitchen on the farm, makes them possible.
These products are made in such small numbers that they add such a point of difference for the visitors to the Farmshop. Everything we make adds that huge burst of flavour to your everyday cooking.
Whether its morning or afternoon, there is nothing better than to sit with a well made coffee using the freshest local beans, and matching it with one of our house baked brownies or cakes. Even something as small as a brownie, packed with the chocolate and fruit, might stop you in your tracks.
Or our scrumptious bitter orange and almond cake from the fruit of my seville oranges from home, our almond frangipani tarts with whatever fruit has been in abundance and some other surprises. Always utilising the fruits of our orchard both at the farm and our home.
Haven’t had time to stop for lunch?
All of our platters are served with a glass of Pheasant Farm Wine, locally baked sourdough bread, dried fig and fennel perfectly accompanying our cheese platter, with a variety of condiments from our exclusive orchard range.
Who could miss having a paté platter given that’s where my food world started. Not only the paté, but roasted olives from our home grove, sopressa made from berkshire pig with cornichons, saskia’s pickled onion relish or our house made dukkah roasted each week and served with our roasted olives, our own extra virgin olive oil.
